New York Fashion Week recently wrapped for CND, but guest artist Winnie Huang will definitely have memories that will last a lifetime.

The Season 3 winner of NAILS Next Top Nail Artist not only joined the CND Design Lab to create nails for two runway shows, but she scored the ultimate prize of doing CND co-founder Jan Arnold’s nails as well.

It all started back in January when Arnold revealed that the final part of the Season 3 CND challenge would be to create a set for her to wear to NYFW. This final set of nails was taken into consideration when determining who would win the Season 3 title. The set Huang created for the NTNA challenge was accompanied by two other possibilities and posted on CND’s Instagram last week so that the public could vote on which look Arnold should wear.

The winning design was a gold armor nail. The look garnered over 3,600 votes. Arnold took into consideration public opinion and opted for a base of Black Pool in place of white. She also wanted to include eyeballs in the design, as they had been a popular NYFW motif for one of Arnold’s favorite designers and collaborators, Libertine. The final design even comes with detachable components that Arnold can snap on or off.

Huang’s nails definitely deserved to be worn to the front row. Reflecting on the whole experience she says, “The whole NYFW experience so far has been everything I thought it would be and beyond. Jan was such a fun person to work on. I was so nervous but honestly, it was an awesome time to bond and I will never forget this day.
