More than 50,000 attendees cruised the aisles at this year’s Premiere Orlando. They came to shop, to learn, to compete, to network, and to have some fun! With over 500 exhibitor booths to peruse and a full line-up of nail specific classes (not to mention the business and other cosmetology classes), this two-day show keeps you on your toes. There’s little downtime, but we still found time to network and party with all of our industry friends. This is not a show to be missed. Mark it on your calendar for next year: June 1-3, 2013.

CND Brings the Flash of Fashion Week to the Main Stage

For the first time ever, a nail company graced the main stage at Premiere Orlando, and in the middle of the day, no less. With show-stopping runway nails directly from New York Fashion Week, CND brought renowned design duo The Blonds and looks from three of their recent collections to show nail and beauty professionals how important nails are in the fashion world. The Blonds are known for their impeccable (and out there) handmade corsets. And for the last seven years, they’ve been accessorizing their shows with the help of some outrageous nails from Team CND.

Backstage before the event Phillipe Blond told us, “CND is so detail-oriented and so are we. It’s a great match. And we really think about the nail design from the start. We ask ourselves, ‘What can we do to make that dragon outfit look even more amazing?’”

At the Shellac Couture event, which took place on Sunday, June 3, Team CND members Roxanne Valinoti and Kristina Estabrooks (with the help of CND co-founder and style director Jan Arnold as MC) showed an audience of nail professionals and special media guests how to take the nail styles from runway to reality.
