For the first time, the Hollywood Beauty Awards branched out into the Daytime Hollywood Beauty Awards, honoring science in beauty. The awards luncheon was held on September 14 and hosted by radio personality Lisa Stanley. The Daytime HBAS recognizes professionals in medicine, dentistry, cannabis, beauty brands, nail styling, coloring, spa services, and more. Honorees included Cindy Crawford and Sugar Ray Leonard. Presenters included Tara Reid, Tommy Chong, and Meagan Good.

Nominees for Excellence in Nail Styling were: Gina Edwards, Jenna Hipp, and Yoko Sakakura. Actress Meagan Tandy and NAILS executive editor Beth Livesay presented the award for that category. Yoko Sakakura (@nails_by_yoko) took home the award. All three nail stylists were on-hand to walk the red carpet and support one another. "When I started doing nails, my parents were upset because they put me through college," said Sakakura, "But my nails are my passion."
