Designers flocked to Miami to show the latest in stylish swimwear. Zoya shared with us how they created the nails to complement these sultry summer looks.

We Are Handsome

For the We Are Handsome show, manicurists used Zoya Remove and a base of Zoya Anchor. All nails except for the ring fingers were painted with two coats of light gold foil metallic polish called Ziv. Ring fingers were painted with two coats of Zoya Rocha and randomly accented with chevron slashes of Zoya Darcy and Ziv near the upper third of each nail mimicking the eye makeup.

Frankie's Bikinis

Manicurist Naomi Gonzalez-Longstaff, first cleaned and prepped all nails using Zoya Remove + and Zoya Get Even. Next, models were given a solid coating of Zoya Purity, a solid white cream on all nails. After polish was allowed to dry completely, manicurists artfully painted random trailing threads of matte, sparkling Zoya Tomoko from tips to no further than the middle of each nail. The look reflected the sparkling glitter accent used on models cheeks and added beautiful “Sunkissed” glints to the otherwise all white nail.

Wildfox

For Wildfox, manicurist Naomi Gonzalez-Longstaff first cleaned all nails with Zoya Remove + and applied Zoya Get Even for a perfectly smooth nail foundation. Next, depending on if the nails were to be nude or black, she applied two coats of Zoya Professional Nail Lacquer in either Chantal (nude) or Raven (Black) over each nail. Black nails were then adorned on a single nail using a small graphic piece of silver metal ornament as an accent. The ornaments were placed three fourths of the way up on the ring finger of each hand. Nude nails were left simple. Both looks were given a glossy finish using Zoya Armor Top Coat and Fast Drops to deliver models runway ready in a flash. Note: The black nail look could also be replicated by placing a contrasting area of silver or white.
