As we establish regular clients, Deb M., who followed us to Polish Salon, has become what we call our fourth partner! She arrives for her appointment and just seems to be part of the team, always has marketing ideas and suggestions on how we can be more successful, washes her own coffee cups, and spends time hanging at the salon. We have partnered with her on her Mary Kay business with specials, and we have crossed the line of client to friendship.

She is a polish addict, always toting an expensive zippered bag of the latest and greatest expensive colors. I recently introduced her to gel-polish, which is taking the place of polish, and we took her with us to the Long Beach show where she experienced polish overload!

In the throws of moving, Deb discovered that she has a polish problem. She has collected and brought us 106 beautiful polishes she had purchased in the last two years. Now this does not count for the expensive bag of polishes that she still has or the ones she had already given us (about 20). We figured the 106 polishes she brought us at approximately $9 (retail price) means she has spent $954! Now that she has upgraded to gel-polish, we have to put limitations on her because gel-polishes are way pricier than traditional polish.

Polish addiction – is there an app for that?
