Due to the need for discretion during the early planning stages, Vicki requested that we wait on posting her first few weeks of blog posts until now. Vicki wrote this one on February 13. Don't worry; we'll be caught up to the present day soon!--NAILS Eds.


We found the perfect location: 756 square feet of it, street view, tons of parking, cool landlords, five miles from home, and with a Starbucks up the street. We can’t ask for more. It has an open floor plan with an accessible water source in the back wall that we will eventually tap into for a washer and dryer and an additional sink. We have to paint, and the landlords will lay a new floor and replace the ceiling tiles for us. Next we have to do a proposal to the landlords, get business and occupancy licenses, an establishment license from the state board, liability insurance, and turn on the electricity.

So I did up a professional proposal, submitted it, and got a phone call yesterday -- WE'RE APPROVED!
