I survived the holiday and I must say, it's the first time in my 20 years as as a nail tech that I can take vacation before Christmas, thanks to my fabulous employees and being a dedicated NAILS Magazine reader.

Usually I work through the new year, taking a vacation around January or February, but I read so much about building clientele and rebooking every client from NAILS that I decided to do just that at my salon. And the pay off is a vacation with my family for Christmas and not stressing out or missing appointments/abandoning clients before the holiday (because all of them came in ahead of time before my scheduled vacation)!

My hope is to continue to build my clients so that even in winter months I still have a steady income, even though some of my clients go South until spring. How is your holiday? What would you change for the better in the coming year?
