It’s about as official as official can get. I submitted my letter of resignation to my employer. As of January 1, 2012, I will step into my new role as the full-time owner of Posh’aah Nail Spa.


I’m feeling fairly numb, which I didn’t expect. I expected fear, excitement, or just about any other overwhelming feeling whether good or bad, but I’m surprisingly mellow.

I half-wonder if this might be the calm before the storm or the pause before everything races at lightning-fast speeds. I’m so still, I can hear my heart beat. I’m sure I could pull off a Mr. Miyagi move with a pair of chopsticks, but there aren’t any flies buzzing around to test my theory (ha ha).


Regardless, there’s no doubt in my head that I’m heading in the right direction. Here’s to a New Year and a glossy New Career.
