Pedicure platform construction is under way! We finally got Russ to begin building our pedicure platform and what a project.

I had done the plans based on several friends who had built their own. It’s 24” tall, which once it was put together we thought was too tall, but my goal is for us to not have to bend over. Since we have been sitting on tiny stools (I sit on the floor) to give pedicures we are soooo looking forward to be level with the feet so we don’t have to bend over at all. We may need to reach a bit during the massage but the trade off is going to be great for our backs!

Now onto the plumbing, which is where the real cost is going to be. We are currently getting bids and will make a decision after we have three. Getting a licensed plumber with a good reputation that you trust to do everything to code is the challenge. We all are big Mike Holmes HGTV fans and his motto is do it right the first time, so that's what we are looking for. Kim bought beautiful light green glass sinks we are mounting and we have to figure out the foot rest too. Kim also got faucets with a sprayer that pulls down from the faucet. We are covering it with tile that matches the floor (that we still hate) and hopefully in the next few weeks we will have a working, confortable pedicure station.
