Nail Art and the Ladies of Kleur

MTV Voices features nail art and the ladies of Kleur ("kuh-ler": the Afrikaans and Dutch translation of "color"). The Los Angeles-based collective is bringing nail art to the masses via custom nail art events in retail stores (like Urban Outfitters), art galleries, and other venues throughout Southern California and beyond. The collective consists of three women who are also jewelry designers, plus they each have a career in the music industry. Cross Country Nail Road Trip: Nails Across America

Newly licensed nail tech Breanne Trammell (who graduated from TW Nail Technology Inc.) embarks on a cross-country road trip this summer, in which she'll take a canned ham trailer renovated as a mobile nail salon and do manicures all over the U.S. "This experiential project is about more than simply nail art. By transforming a 1968 Shasta Compact camper into a mobile salon, I aim to create an intimate platform to exchange ideas and conversation," Trammell says.
