Allure magazine says that purple is the color of the month for nail polish in its October issue. They say that, "Though the craze for black polish has subsided a bit, we're not exactly entering an age of enlightenment. This fall, the hot color is deep, shimmery purple." Oft-quoted manicurist Sheril Bailey says, "Purple is more glamours than edgy. It's still more eye-catching than a safe, subtle pink." They call out OPI Nail Lacquer in Eiffel for This Color, a glossy wine color she likes for dark skin tones.
