Essence challenges its readers to try lilac nails, from sheers for the color-shy to opaques for those who dare. "Nothing looks sweeter on sun-kissed skin," says the magazine.
Those hesitant about color can try mauve for a hint of color or a pale gray to ease into it. A top coat will prevent colors from looking dull.
Featured colors are: Barielle Shades nail polish in Expressive, OPI Bright Pair Nail Lacquer in A Grape Fit, Butter London 3 Free nail lacquer in Scroundrel, and OPI's Done Out in Deco.
