Weeks 13 and 14: Goals and Projects

“Why would you want to be a nail technician?” Someone asked me this question with a puzzled look on his face. “Why would you, being a chemist, even want to go do something like that?” He asked me that question as if to say that I was lowering my standards to become a nail technician. I explained to him my reasons for wanting to do this and the goals that I have.

Week 2: Becoming a Professional

Cosmetology school is so fun! Not only do you learn how to be an amazing nail technician, you also learn how to be an amazing professional.

Weeks 5 and 6: 3-D Nail Art and Other Surprises

I started Week 5 knowing that we were having a nail competition on Thursday, and even though I am still fairly green at doing nails, all new students were expected to participate.

Weeks 29 & 30: My Final Post and a Fond Farewell!

Well, it has finally arrived. These last two weeks have had their ups and downs but I am so proud to say that I am finally finished with school! I still have the hurdle of obtaining my license but I know that I am equipped to pass.

Week 28: Looking Back On What I’ve Learned So far

Only a few more weeks until I graduate! The highlight of this week for me would be the excitement that my friends are having about me being so close to the end of this process.
