“Why would you want to be a nail technician?” Someone asked me this question with a puzzled look on his face. “Why would you, being a chemist, even want to go do something like that?” He asked me that question as if to say that I was lowering my standards to become a nail technician. I explained to him my reasons for wanting to do this and the goals that I have.

Well, it has finally arrived. These last two weeks have had their ups and downs but I am so proud to say that I am finally finished with school! I still have the hurdle of obtaining my license but I know that I am equipped to pass.
Only a few more weeks until I graduate! The highlight of this week for me would be the excitement that my friends are having about me being so close to the end of this process.
Whether you realize it or not, as an instructor, you are a leader for your students and their first introduction to the beauty industry. As their leader, it is your responsibility to inspire them to learn and to be their mentor as they learn to navigate the industry and discover who they are in the business.
