Nailed It explores the history of the Vietnamese-American nail salon and tells the tale of how a chance encounter in 1975 between 20 female Vietnamese refugees and actress Tippi Hedren changed the face of the industry.

Five aspiring beauty industry professionals will each receive $2,750 tuition compensation toward a qualified nail education program through generous funding from CND and their distributor partners.
This week was my final week as a nail tech student. I can't believe it's over already. It went by so fast and I'm so proud to say I am now a licensed nail tech because I already passed my state board exams for my temporary license!

On October 8th, Bellacures Brentwood and OPI Products honored Hollywood icon Tippi Hedren for her humanitarian efforts in aiding Vietnamese refugees after the Vietnam War and in developing the nail industry.

This week was all about book work and practicing with acrylics. I completed seven out of 10 chapters, and played with creating different nail shapes. I also performed a few manicures and pedicures on real clients. Yes, I’m touching people now!

The Beauty Changes Lives/CND/ Tippi Hedren Nail Scholarship program is now accepting applications through March 23, 2015. This program is open to new students attending a qualifying nail technology school. Ten winners will receive 100% of their program tuition costs funded (up to $5,000).

Nail school happened so fast — the experiences I’ve had while obtaining my licenses have been completely amazing, but it’s been a whirlwind!
