Americans are busy. That’s why Snobz, a Longwood, Fla.-based salon and day spa, developed its “On the Road” program where small groups of businessmen can book a combination of services delivered right in the office. Using leads acquired from the Chamber of Commerce and other local business organizations, the salon courts busy executives by sending likely candidates a descriptive brochure along with a newsletter or flier advertising specials.

“We charge a 25% travel fee and an 18% gratuity, and have had no problem at all getting it,” says Snobz co-owner Susan Fallen The most popular service is a package called “His Turn”— a shave (complete with steaming hot towel), a haircut and a “sports” manicure where nails are buffed to a high gloss.

“Not everyone is a regular Joe,” says Faller. ‘There is a high-end market here that’s largely untapped and we’ve been able to create a niche for ourselves.”
