The countdown starts for the Premiere Birmingham trade show on September 17. Joii and I are going down the Saturday before and plan to attend on Sunday. I am so excited to attend some of the classes. I also want to see the vendors. I always think tradeshows are the best way to see what is new in the beauty industry.

This month has been busy. We have visited a number of retirement villages and performed mini-manicures. This was done to introduce ourselves and our services to residents. We also have signed on with a few to return on a monthly basis to provide services. Going was a fun and delightful experience. Building a clientele is an on-the-move process. We have been staying busy. If we are not completing services we are out handing out fliers, doing community service, and doing online marketing.

I have been on YouTube, and the creative things nail techs have come up with are amazing. I have found myself trying new methods at least once a week. I have seen tips and trends I would have never thought could be done. I have learned that running a service business I need to have exposure and stand out. So anything I can do for clients to know about the salon, I plan to try.

If any of you are attending the Premiere Show, l let me know I would love to meet up and discuss all things nails. (smile)

Until next time, happy nails!
