I have been in promotion overload. I completed a calendar of promotions for every month. The spring should increase customers, so I’ve been using the winter to build client awareness. I’m focusing on getting the name out and letting clients know who we are and where we are located.

I also have decided to add mobile services to the salon. So I have added a number of local events to promote the services to women and girls. I have signed on for a number of events and shows to market the services. Marketing at events and trades hows is fun — you meet new people, and we are able to show off services to a number of people. I will offer mobile services that allow me to provide services to groups.

Warmer weather indicates the start of trade show season. I have schedule full of upcoming events and shows to attend. This weekend I will be attending the Bronner Brothers Hair Show. I have attended the show before, but as a student, not a salon owner. The show is geared toward hairstylists. They do offer classes for nail techs and makeup artists. I enjoy workshops and training sessions. In my next post, I will include pictures and information.

I am so excited the promotions are going well. We will see in the spring how it has paid off.
