So I've weighed my options and come to a business decision. We are going natural. I've chosen to start only doing natural nail care. What made me come to this decision? A number of things:

1. Since my salon opened 95% of my clientele has been for manicures, pedicures, or are youth clients.
2. It separates me from all other salons in my area. I will be the only "natural nail care salon" (which I will use as a marketing tool).
3. Overhead costs are slightly decreased, due to the lack of need for some supplies.
4. I've researched it and the pros outweigh the cons.
5. I'm just starting out, and this is the time to make any changes before I grow and it's too late.

My niche is to not only to provide natural nail care services, but also to educate clients on proper nail care. Those enhancements won't last if they don’t have a proper foundation to stand on. The focus on natural nail care has required me to revamp a few things, but it's worth it. I set the bar high, and it's already starting to pay off for my business. So far I've redone the website, gotten new business cards, and more. With a month and a half of research and revamping it has started to pay off. It's funny how one decision can be the kickstart that your business is needs to grow. You have to try new things until you find a fit.

Update on the networking group: the Society of Nail Techs has 62 members as of today. This is awesome! We are networking more and more every day.

Also I want to welcome back all  bloggers Candice and Marie and welcome the new blogger Karyn. I am sure I will learn a lot from all of you. It is exciting to see our salons growing.

Not Good at Saying No
