How is it possible that this month is already more than half over?! I know I took a week off, but still!

My much needed vacation was the perfect way to start my new year. I came back motivated and very refreshed. I spent a full day when I came home revamping promotional materials, my website, and more. I am having a banner printed that I can hang outside my office space to hopefully increase some foot traffic. I have calls in to the two high schools nearest me to advertise in their football programs for next season. (Unfortunately the high school my husband is at is nearly 45 minutes from my office so that wasn’t an option for me at this time.)

I have new brochures and a new newsletter, which I am excited about! I am featuring facials this month due to having a new skin care line and will be featuring nails next time since I am promoting the addition of Shellac to my service menu as well.

I have decided to redo my referral program this year and have been discussing that with my clients since before Christmas. I used to do one free service for three clients referred. My new program will be 50% off one of any service for every one client referred. My clients like this better and are already asking when I am going to have information to give them to give to their friends. I should have it for them by the end of this week. My goal this year was to gain and consistently rebook a minimum of four new clients a month. This is totally doable for me at this time. I would like it even better if it was four new clients a week, but I have to start somewhere.

It’s hard to believe that I only added nails nearly a year ago -- February 2 is the first year anniversary of my getting my license. Pedicures have fit in so well with what I already do, and my clients love my manicures. I should have done it sooner!

Not Good at Saying No
