Technique: Apply base coat, then two coats of color in three strokes. Make sure to wipe the brush against the rim of the bottle to prevent gobs of lacquer on your nails. Caruso also says it helps to rest the side of the pinky of painting hand on a table to keep it steady. To prevent chips from texting or typing, "hold the brush vertically, then sweep the side of it across the nail's edget to tint it with a thin, even coat of color," she continues. Finally, add top coat and hold nails under the blow dryer for two to three minutes.
