[NOTE: This "open letter to the salon industry" is shared by the Beauty Changes Lives Board of Directors.]
Dear Salon Partners, Colleagues and Friends:
As a new decade arrives, are you ready to “Make Your Mark” and secure the future of our industry? 2020 is a pivotal year . . . and we’re not talking politics--but the future of our industry.
Beauty Changes Lives, Wella, L’oreal, Ratner Companies and CEOs from across the beauty landscape have launched “Make Your Mark,” a national recruitment campaign. Realizing the need to recruit more than 1M licensed professionals in the next decade, the campaign is a call out to Gen Z, a fiercely independent, entrepreneurial generation, looking not just for a career, but a calling.
Starting this month, the Make Your Mark campaign will roll out nationally. From salons and schools to a mix of strategically placed public pop-ups and social media, Make Your Mark is about sharing the biggest beauty secret--the possibilities, pathways and potential available in the beauty industry.
Will you join us and make your mark? Will you help redefine what it means to work in beauty--and recruit 1.3M licensed professionals in the next decade? Here are three ways you can help:
Donate. Even a small gift can make a difference.
Put your partner points to good use before they expire at year-end.
Share the social media assets available at https://beautychangeslives.org/make-your-mark/
Are you in? Will you stand with the industry as we take on the challenge of assuring our craft’s future? Will you help Gen Z connect with a beautiful calling? Are you ready to “Make Your Mark?” Contact Lauren Conway (lconway@beautychangeslives.com) to learn more.
