Shape's December issue shows readers 10, 20, and 30-minute beauty regimens for a night out, including tips for facial, hair, and nail care. Techs can share these simple suggestions with clients who want a quick nail fix before a night out.

For quick nail care, keeping them neat is the only thing to worry about. Remove chipped lacquer, then use the OPI Brilliance Block Buffer to buff and polish until the nails shine. The mag says, "Don't add any color—even quick-dry needs more than a minute to set."

Those with 20 minutes can devote more time to their nails with a mini mani. Jan Arnold, cofounder of CND, tells readers, "Remove polish and paint on a ride-filling, semi-sheer base coat that conceals white spots and dries quickly." Shape recommends Dermelect Makeover Ridge Filler.

With a full 30 minutes, adding a polish of choice is an option. The magazine says, "file tips into a 'squoval' (square on top, oval on the sides). Finish by painting on a base coat and polish of your choice." The featured polish is Zoya Nail Polish in Demi.
