In Cosmopolitan’s fall nail trends guide, the Vampy V manicure enhances an oxblood manicure with a peekaboo effect.
Follow Cosmo’s steps to get the look:
Apply a base coat and nude polish. Cosmo says it should be opaque enough to cover the white of nails. Let it dry completely for at least 20 minutes.
Create the V by cutting pieces of masking tape into narrow triangles. Place the tape at the edges with the pointy part toward the base.
Apply two coats of red. Once it dries, peel off the tape and apply a top coat.
Cosmo’s Quick Tip: For easy and clean removal, leave a little overhang of the tape at the tip.
