Allure magazine asked six nail artists to come up with designs based on some of the wildest fall fashion prints and patterns for its September 2012 issue.

Ginny and Donne Geer from heynicenails.com created Balmain booties by laying down a few coats of black polish and then adding microbeads, studs, and rhinestones from the craft store. They glued everything in place with dots of topcoat.

Nail artist Maki Sakamoto recreated a McQueen clutch by handpainting a lacey design and embellishing it with Swarovski stones.

Sophie Harris-Greenslade from theillustratednail.com adorned her nail with a Miu Miu bag print. She started with pink polish and followed by a pink crackle. Then she used a sponge to fade black polish up from the cuticle and a black nail art pen for the details.

Nail artist Julie Kandalec used miniature white 3-D flowers from Japan that she handpainted with polish to create the pattern of a floral Dolce & Gabbana dress.

Fleury Rose from fleuryrosenails.tumblr.com recreated a complicated Peter Pilotto print by painting the whole nail neon green, then the top third turquoise, and then the bottom third blue. She added stripes on top.

Lastly, nail artist Sophy Robson designed a graphic '60s pattern based on Prada's fall collection. She used lilac, orange, and red polish and outlined the color blocks with black nail pens.
