Allure magazine, in it's June 2012 issue, recommended the following four shades, which go well with any summer sandal:

1. Red-Orange (Essie's Bazooka)

2. Shimmering Aqua

3. Electric Purple

4. Bronze

On a separate note, advise clients to stay away from these three polishes:

1. Pale yellow: It can make nails look stained.

2. Mauve: If it's too similar to a client's skin tone, it can make them look corpse-like, manicurist Jin Soon Choi told Allure. Recommend a shade of pink or purple with higher contrast.

3. Just Glitter:Allure says it's like borrowing a teenager's miniskirt. It doesn't make you look any younger, but it will look cheesy.
