To kick off the New Year, Cosmopolitan featured Galaxy Tips — a manicure created by nail pro Lisa Logan — in its January 2012 issue.
To achieve this look, paint nails a shiny black and let them dry. A third of the way up each nail, run a glittery blue hue to the tip, and let dry. On the top third, apply a gold glittery hue, like Essie's As Gold As It Gets.
To get it off, press acetone onto tips for a minute to loosen layers.
