Active military members will tell you that while they are proud to serve their country, they’re not alone. It’s a family affair. Their spouses are serving, too.
Frequent relocations mean families not only have to adjust to new communities, households, schools, doctors, and friends – spouses also have to find new employment. And while the spouses of military service members may be highly skilled and qualified, frequent relocations can significantly hamper their ability to achieve career advancement and wage growth.
In an exciting new partnership with the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), a program by the U.S. Department of Defense, the Great Clips® brand, through its independently owned salons, will now offer enhanced employment opportunities for U.S. military spouses. Through the MSEP Job Search, military spouses from all branches of the armed forces can now access career opportunities posted on the Great Clips® Careers site. That means talented hairstylists and barbers will now have access to positions at locally owned U.S. Great Clips® salons, so they may find and maintain employment despite the challenges of frequent relocation.
As an MSEP partner, the Great Clips® brand is committed to recruiting, hiring, promoting, and retaining military spouses in portable careers – even through relocations, when possible. Great Clips® is a proud supporter of military families and knows that when salons hire military spouses, they gain outstanding employees.
