Kenneth Reiner who, with his wife Dottie, co-founded salon furnishings and accessories manufacturer Kayline Enterprises, died on September 21, 2011, at the age of 95. Reiner, with a degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, moved to Los Angeles in the 1930s to work in the aerospace industry. He had a lot of innovative ideas that leave a legacy even through the present day, including Lady Ellen Klippies hair-styling tool and his founding a nonprofit school called The Midtown School in Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood. He co-founded Kayline when he was 58. Kayline's products, which include pedicure storage furnishings, manicure tables, and rollabouts, are designed and manufactured within the United States. He will be missed.
