Salon booking software provider GlossGenius issued a report of its members, comparing 2023 against 2022 with the months July and August, on what is the prevalence of appointments for services that are specifically offered to kids (where kids include terms such as "kid", "child", "youth", "student", etc.)? 

GlossGenius is seeing a 31% increase in kids going to get their nails done for back to school, and another 17% jump for kids heading to the esthetician this time over last year.

Report Findings

  • Appointments for kids services are the most popular in August, seeing 45.24% more appointments for these services than other months, on average.

  • Appointments for kids services overall increased by 3.82% from 2022 to 2023. The number of businesses providing at least one of these services increased by 3.01% in this time.

  • Out of GlossGenius members' professions, the data showed the largest increases in the popularity of services for kids in nail artists and estheticians.
