Thanks to the good folks at Medicool, 10 nail techs are starting off their careers right — with a shiny new TurboFile II electric file. Students receiving the 2009 NAILS’ Career Handbook were invited to explain why they think NAILS is an important part of their education. Ten winners were selected at random to receive the Medicool e-file. “It’s important to support the industry that has supported us for many years,” says Steve Wallace, vice president of sales and marketing for Medicool. “We feel by offering these 10 pieces of equipment, it will help 10 new nail technicians kick-start their careers and get them going with the right tools to become successful.”
Everyone who entered the contest received a free one-year subscription to NAILS.

Here’s what some of the entrants had to say:
Kate Titus, Milton, N.H.: NAILS never disappoints. This magazine keeps me excited. From On My Mind to Product Spotlight, there is not one thing I would change.
Monica Sonefelt, Duncansville, Pa.: The articles are great and the photos are very inspiring as well. I don’t know where else we’d find direction and inspiration if it weren’t for you.
Judi Bell, Beecher City, Ill.: NAILS Magazine has been part of my education since I started school and throughout my short career as a nail tech ... I actually have a three-ring binder where I keep all of my favorite articles and nail art.
