NAILS Magazine was honored to win Best Single Sponsor piece from the Western Publications Association at the 54th Annual Maggie Awards on April 22, 2005.

Beating out both trade and consumer publications, NAILS Fashion Focus, a single sponsor supplement for Creative Nail Design, was awarded a Maggie for Best Single Sponsor piece.

This is the 11th Maggie for NAILS and the first time winning this category. A 32-page custom publishing piece for Creative Nail Design, Fashion Focus takes fashion from the runways and translates it to realistic nail styles.

Eighty-seven Maggies were awarded for editorial, design and promotional excellence.

This years Maggie competition totaled nearly 1,900 entries from magazines published West of the Mississippi River or distributed only West of the Mississippi River.

The Western Publications Association (WPA) is a non-profit trade association working to advance the business of print and electronic magazines in the western United States.

Now in its 54th year, the WPA bestows awards of merit to deserving individuals and companies whose work was deemed the best of the west in a wide variety of categories within the publishing industry.
