The National Aesthetics Spa Network (NASN) is offering scholarships for advanced education courses to spa professionals who wish to increase their knowledge and skills. NASN is a non-profit organization committed to providing affordable non-product-related education to spa professionals — including estheticians, massage therapists, and nail technicians — across the United States.
The first of several scholarships being offered this year is from Medinail Learning Center (www.medinail.com) for its online Medical Nail Technician Program. “This program is designed to enhance the success of nail technicians through safety education and to further their career opportunities,” says Robert Spalding, DPM, MLC cofounder. “These technicians are trained to work appropriately on chronically ill clients, such as diabetics. Their clientele grows quickly with clients who trust them and will never leave them.”
Interested professionals can learn more about the application process at www.nasnbiz.com. Applications must be submitted to scholarship@nasnbiz.com before December 1, 2014. The scholarship will be awarded in January 2015 at the NASN’s yearly conference in Del Rey, Fla.
Additional scholarships will be announced as they are offered. Check www.nasnbiz.com through the year for more information.
