NSI traveled to Aruba for a three-day intense NSI University training for experienced nail technicians. The training was held June 17-19 at Laura’s Beauty Supplies in Aruba. The attendees of NSI University learned from NSI global educator Denise Wright. The technicians who attended learned about each NSI product range, how to use it (with demos and instructions), and how each product fits into their salon needs.
Each day at NSI University advanced the practical skills of the technicians. They learned new application techniques, advanced sculpting like the popular lipstick shape, and enhancement structure for strength and beauty — plus the new butterfly shape. It wasn’t all play: They also had to complete practical exams that tested their knowledge and challenged their new skills.

“It was an amazing three days,” says Wright. “I was impressed with the progression of all the technicians over the three days but I was particularly impressed by the butterflies. The students all tried the butterfly structure technique and then decorated the enhancement to a high level. The experience that Laura’s Beauty Aruba put on was amazing — from the full kits the students got to take home, to arranging for the island’s magazine ZoomAruba to come cover the event, to ending the event with a champagne celebration and canapés for the graduation. The students all went home exhilarated and energized from their experience. It was an honor to be invited to support and teach the event for them.”
“The level of professionalism that Laura’s Beauty Supply created was superior,” says NSI vice president of sales and marketing Isabel Fisher. “They created an incredible atmosphere and hosted an amazing event. NSI is a family business and we are so happy to call Laura’s Beauty Supply and all of the technicians who attended part of that family!”
This year, NSI University will also be held September 21-24 in Philadelphia and October 20-22 in Calgary, Canada. Visit www.nsinails.com for more information.
