The American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) has created an easy way for salon, spa, and other beauty professionals to give back to the beauty industry.

The American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) has created an easy way for salon, spa, and other beauty professionals to give back to the beauty industry. Dollars for Donations is a program available to any business that accepts MasterCard and Visa payments.
When a salon selects the Dollars for Donations program to process its credit card payments, .25% of the payment processing fees are rebated to the Beauty Changes Lives initiative, helping to fund beauty school scholarships and donations. "Dollars for Donations can also help a business communicate its commitment to ‘doing good’ to the clients it serves," says AACS spokeswoman Lynelle Lynch. "Research has found that customers want to support good causes and pay it forward. This program is a turnkey approach for salons that want to support future beauty professionals."
From a business perspective, the Dollars for Donations program provides salons with competitive credit card processing fees (often lower than the salon is already paying), as well as a locked-in rate guarantee as long as the salon participates in the program. Every participating merchant receives a program marketing kit including a welcome kit, countertop display, and window cling.
