Cosmopolitan offers some tips on how to get in on the lovely lace trend. Working with lace can be tricky so working with a friend is recommended.

  1. Try searching for thin black lace on a ribbon roll at your local fabric store. Thin lace will adhere better than a thick piece.

  2. Place the lace over each nail and cut it to fit each nail. Set the pieces aside.

  3. Apply a pearly polish and gently lay the lace cut-outs on top while it’s still tacky, using a toothpick to press down the edges.

  4. Set everything in place with a quick-dry top coat like CND’s Speedey for the lightest consistency.

In Dubai, Clients Visit the Salon Every Week. Here’s What That Market Can Teach You

In Dubai, a salon visit isn’t an appointment. It’s a weekly routine, and clients can spend $800 to $1,400 a month on it, according to Gaurav Tripathi of MADI International. On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
