Marie Claire used inspiration from the runway to create looks that are perfect for “Nails @ Work and Play” in its September issue.

The magazine featured looks called Bright Idea and Gothic Renaissance for “Nails @ Play.” Glue Cina Crystal Assorted Rhinestones on already-polished nails for Bright Idea nails. The feature displays gold nails with multicolored crystals in different sizes for an eye-popping effect.

For the Gothic Renaissance look, paint nine nails with Butter London Nail Lacquer in Union Jack Black, leaving one for a red accent nail.

For “Nails @ Work,” the magazine suggests gilded tips or a matte finish. Metallic tips jazz up a standard office manicure, according to Marie Claire. Achieve the look with Essie’s No Place Like Chrome or CND Vinylux Weekly Polish in Locket Love.

For a matte finish, apply regular polish to nails then on the tips paint a quarter-inch stripe of JINsoon Nail Polish in Matte Maker.
