Re-Inventing the French Mani

Self serves up three fresh takes on the French manicure that are simple to achieve and fun to wear. To get the “silvery slivers” look, apply two coats of silver polish and layer with Black Shatter by OPI. Top with a high-gloss clear coat to create lasting shine. To get the “French Flipped” look, brush on one coat of an opaque white polish. Then, take round hole-punch reinforcement stickers and press onto dry nails to create a stencil for the nail moon. Apply two coats of a sweet pink like Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pink Slip, and let dry. Peel off the sticker and finish with a top coat. To get the “ethereal edges” look, first apply two coats of a ballet pink, like Orly Nail Lacquer in First Kiss. After nails have dried, dip a foundation sponge into CND Colour & Effects Silver Chrome, blot excess, and dab along the perimeter of the entire nail to create a faded look from the center out.
