InStyle talks with celeb manicurist Ashlie Johnson about a few tips for showing off stellar nails for a special event. “Do nails the night before,” Johnson advises. “That way, if you change your mind, you still have time to change the color.” To prepare nails a week in advance, try moisturizing hands after every washing and applying cuticle oil to the nail bed and cuticle every day. With regard to color, try pairing nude fingers with crimson red toes. CND’s Solar Oil and Sally Hansen’s polish in Choco-Latte are prime picks for great-looking nails.
