Temeka Jackson is known for her celebrity clients and Nail Gossip show, but now she is advocating for new legislature in her home state of Connecticut.

Connecticut has long been the sole state in the country not requiring a license to do nails. However, all that is about to change in 2020, when HB 6742 goes into effect.
Celebrity nail tech Temeka Jackson is originally from Connecticut, and has been one of many nail techs working tirelessly to help the state understand the need for this law. Jackson decided to hold a Back To Business Beauty Seminar in her home state on November 3 to help beauty professionals understand the new law. Connecticut State Representative Jillian Gilchrest will also be in attendance to speak with beauty professionals. Additional panelists include Lavette Cephus and Michael Cervellino of Belle Academy of Cosmetology.
Registration is $60 and closes on October 27. The cost includes a swag bag, lunch, and raffle ticket. The seminar is open to nail and lash techs as well as aestheticians, and will be held at Southern Connecticut State University.
Tickets can be purchased at www.art2nails.com.
