Texas Now Requiring CEUs for Nail Technicians

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is now requiring eight hours of approved continuing education in order to renew a nail technician license.

Nail technicians renewing their licenses on or after September 1, 2006 will now have to do a little extra work. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is now requiring eight hours of approved continuing education in order to renew a nail technician license. Four of the eight hours must be in sanitation. If a licensee has an instructor’s license then she must complete two of those hours in a teaching methods class.
