Elle's 2014 April issue focuses on two current trends in the nail world: nude polishes to match every skin tone, and a brief interview with Eri Handa, an editorial manicurist.

The perfect skin tone polishes are: JIN SOON in Tulle, OPI in Samoan Sand, DOBORAH LIPPMANN in Naked!, JULEP in AnneMarie, HIPPXRGB in F3, and ESSIE in Lady Godiva.

In her interview, Handa explains how she prefers a minimalist approach to nail care. She focuses on sculpting the perfect oval to elongate both nails and fingers. Her favorite go-to polishes include Essie's "Absolutely Shore," which is more unique than white. And her quick fix is a bit of moisterizer around the cuticle when there isn't time for a full manicure.
