KEEP IT SIMPLE

For clients who aren't too extreme and usually stick to pale pinks, use metal-inspired polish — variations of bronze, gold, copper, and silver — to stay in their comfort zone.
File nails into a short shape. Then either do one coat of metallic polish and a high-shine top coat, or layer it over whatever light polish they're accustomed to.
Recommended colors: Butter London's Chimney Sweep and Nars Nail polish in Kismet.
MAKE IT CHIC
Graphite polish is chic and surprisingly wearable, due to its multidimensional mix of neutral gold, olive and platinum undertones. You can even wear it to work!

Keep nails softy squared. Apply polish and advise clients to add a clear top coat every two days to increase shine and prevent chips.
Recommended colors: Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Graphite and Orly's Sea Girl.
GLAM IT UP
For something a little edgier, use jewel-toned polish in lighter shades of green. There's no question, a green mani makes a statement. And this season's shimmery or matte variations are easy to pull of.
Advise clients to match their makeup to their polish for a glamorous look. For light eyes, recommend emerald, and for dark eyes, go with jade or teal.
