Common beauty goods make great nail tools, according to an article featured in Allure magazine's September 2012 "Nail Report."
Bobby pins are great for painting on polka dots and a clean spooley brush makes sprinkling loose glitter less messy. Skinny eyeliner brushes help with tiny details, and Scotch tape ensures straight lines. Paint polish on the tip of a makeup sponge and dab it on the ends of nails for a quick ombre effect.
