Contestants were asked to include a 5-7 minute video diary that shows how their look came to life, along with written details about their inspiration and process. Challenge 9, sponsored by Bio Seaweed Gel asked our Top 4 to recreate their favorite neighborhood on 10 nail tips. The design had to be made using gels and gel-polish and had to contain 3-D elements. Embellishments were also allowed. Contestants had to upload a tutorial to Nail Art Gallery to show how they made their set. This week’s guest judge was Hellen Luu of Bio Seaweed Gel.

Whether you were born there, moved there, or love it there, an inspiring neighborhood is what each of the Top 4 created, along with a description of why the place is so meaningful to them. The design should be on 10 nail tips of any size and must be created with gels and gel-polish (no acrylic or acrylic paint). 3-D elements are also required and embellishments may be used. The design needed to be on an actual hand using hard gel and gel-polish only. Contestants were asked to include a 3-5 minute video diary that shows how their creepy look came to life, along with a 300 word write up providing more gory details. This week’s guest judge was Nancy Hinojosa of ibd.

Challenge 7, sponsored by INM asked our Top 6 to illuminate us with cosmic-inspired nail art complete with one working light component. Contestants were allowed to use any mediums necessary on 10 nail tips to complete this challenge. We also asked them for a Nail Art Gallery tutorial. This week’s guest judge was Ashley Francois of INM.

Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, is most deservedly deemed one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Sponsor INM captured a bit of its essence when it launched the best-selling Northern Lights top coat with a holographic finish. To celebrate this natural phenomenon’s spectacular display of shimmer and light, INM asked our Top 6 to create cosmo nails on ten nail tips, with a working light component as an added twist.
