When Alisha, who has been doing nails for seven years, came out to do our shoot she stayed with NAILS’ cover veteran Tom Holcomb.
Tom Bachik, who travels the world educating nail techs for Creative Nail Design, is hard to pin down, so we figured why not get this master tech to do two covers at once.


This month’s cover was truly a team effort of Salina Rush and Dianne D'Agnolo.

Salina Rush achieved two things when she came to Los Angeles at the beginning of the year: She won first place in the Ladies’ Sculptured Nails competition at ICE Los Angeles, and she got to do the nails for this month’s cover.
Maisie Dunbar, owner of M&M Nails and Wellness Center in Silver Spring, Md., came up with the idea of doing a tribal henna design on the hand for our “global outlook” cover concept.

Cover tech La Shaun Brown-Glenn says, “The funny thing is that it was not until after I received the honor of being named Nail Tech of the Year" that I realized how much weight it carried.”
