Week 22: Near the End and Still So Many Surprises
This week I had only one exam left and that was from the beginning of beauty school. I took it on Monday and scored 100% on it so I'm very happy. I have no exams and no hours to make up.

This week I had only one exam left and that was from the beginning of beauty school. I took it on Monday and scored 100% on it so I'm very happy. I have no exams and no hours to make up.
It was the day I've been waiting for forever — IBSNY! But on Monday after I came back to class from training, one of my classmates told me that my school had announced that morning that IBSNY was not going to be open Tuesday due to severe weather, so everyone had to go right then on Monday. But they didn't call me or anyone else who wasn't there, so we missed it! :-(
This week was jam-packed! On Monday I got a call back from a salon owner that I interviewed with and I started training Wednesday. I'm so excited! I love the salon.The name is Bed of Nails.

On Tuesday we began a mock State Board for the practical. It's pretty easy; the only thing is you have to remember every step and make sure you don't mess up at all.
My instructor has been telling me that I should try to take the state board for my temporary license. It's two,100- question exams. I was nervous but I decided to take it and see what I got.
This week we finally got to my favorite chapter: nail art! On Monday, we discussed the different types of embellishments you can add. We got to have fun on our nails so I did a reverse pink and white and ombre with colored acrylic.
On Tuesday, we had two written exams, one on manicures and one on pedicures. I had a good feeling taking the tests – it felt easy
This week was a busy week. We got seven new girls in our class and the other girls went to the senior floor. I have two more units before I go to the senior floor and start taking clients
This week we had our big test — a practical exam and a written exam. On my written I got an 84 and on my practical I got a 71. I have to retake my practical because I need a 75 to pass.
