Always in Season

by NAILS Magazine | April 3, 2008 | Bookmark +

Sure, there that’s fresh fruit tray in your salon that always gets overlooked in favor of the candy dish. But that doesn’t mean your clients aren’t interested in fruit in some form or fashion.

Originally created for “miniaturists” (collectors who decorate miniature food and other items for dollhouses — a very intense group, I’d imagine), Oak Tree Dolls House Miniatures in the U.K. has found that they’re getting just as many requests from nail techs for the company’s miniature fruit canes.

Made out of fimo polymer clay, these canes can be thinly sliced with a sharp blade giving perfect miniature strawberries, bananas, kiwi, starfruit, apples, and watermelons. Just take these adorable fruit slices and embed them in your client’s nail art — and, voilà, fruit is popular again.
