Send Us Your Ugly Nail Photos! (No, Seriously!)

by NAILS Magazine | April 14, 2010

We here at NAILS are looking to get more shots of the ugly side of nails — the mistakes. Because how are we supposed to show you nails gone wrong and troubleshooters if we don’t have some good shots to show?

So please start sending us any shots you have of nails that have had service breakdown or improper application. These would be things like:

  • badly lifted nails
  • flat arches
  • mishapen C-curves
  • unblended tips adhered to nails
  • crooked tips
  • bubbles in acrylic or gel
  • zig-zag smile lines, or smile lines that are too straight
  • crystallization (a frosty appearance usually around the cuticle area)
  • overly thick enhancements
  • sloppy polish jobs

And the list goes on…

If you happen to come across these (whether by your own hand or you have a new client who’s been mangled by a previous tech), please snap a quick high-res photo of it (at least 300 dpi at 3” x 5”) and send it to tim.crowley@bobit.com.

Let us know the product used and what you think went wrong, and we’ll put it in our files to start showing our readers how to spot these problems and then fix them.
