For those of you who don’t have the time and/or the money to travel to beauty trade shows, you may want to make plans to attend the upcoming Spa Hospitality Expo (SHE) — because you can attend this show from your salon or even your apartment (with the help of any computer with an Internet connection). SHE is a virtual tradeshow, hosted by the Healing Arts Guide, and will feature more than 40 spa and wellness suppliers. Attendees will be able to chat live with executives from each company, source new products, receive free education, and get discounts on first orders from most brands.
“We heard about the trade show through the magazine Healing Arts Guide and we decided to participate because it was a new platform and something we haven't done before,” says John Galea, communications manager at Sparitual, which will be showcasing its latest products including its Soulful Lacquer Collections and HandPrint Hydrating Hand Salve. Other participating manufacturers include Pevonia, Susan Posnick Cosmetics, and Jane Iredale.
In addition to the virtual “convention center” where you can speak with manufacturers, the show will include an “auditorium” where you can view webcasts, and a “media center” where you can browse white papers and presentations. (If you’re confused about how that works, view this video — it’s geared toward exhibitors but will help you understand the virtual layout of the show.)
Best of all, attending the trade show is free. You can register here.
