A Good Analogy for UV Lamps

by Holly Schippers | November 18, 2011 | Bookmark +

With all the discussion about UV lamps and now LED lamps Doug Schoon left a post on my page recently that made so much sense I knew it needed to be shared!

“Finding a lamp with high UV output should NOT be the goal. Finding a lamp with the correct UV output for the product of your choice should be the goal. When you decide to take up jogging, you don’t put on a pair of high heels just because you have them in the closet and you don’t wear your son’s or a friend’s shoes or an old pair you wore in high school. You should purchase and wear a pair of running shoes that fit your feet and running style. The same goes for nail lamps. Use the nail lamp that was designed to properly cure the product you choose to use, or you can’t expect to get the best results.”

I hope this helps some of you that have been struggling with less than perfect results when using different lamps and products together!
